Darr Hawthorne (pictured) of MoparMax.com online magazine was returning to his LA digs with a project car when he stumbled upon a junkyard that had a slight lean towards Mopars. Seeing as the operator said the place had 500 Mopars and two Chevrolets, we’d agree.
The photos of the place had our East Coast, rust fearing minds spinning because the vast majority of the stuff is from the 1950s and anything that has been in a junkyard back east for 50 years is more rust and decay than metal.
The yard owner seemed like a great dude as he allowed Hawthorne total access without so much as a stinky eyeball. If you need parts for a ’50s Mopar product and are looking for original stuff. you need to read this story and you need to call these guys.
Here’s your ticket to fantasy land.
